Bogalusa City Council member Gloria Kates expressed her support to those who came out to clean up the Bogalusa City Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 29.

“This was a great way for us to give back to our loved ones and the community,” Kates said.

Kates noted that students who participated in the cleanup day earned credits toward their community service projects. She said that the Bogalusa High School Jr. ROTC has adopted the cemetery and did “an outstanding job” by adding support. She also thanked the Rayburn Correctional Center and the city of Bogalusa for their contributions of grass cutting throughout the week.
