Gloria Allean Brown, 75, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at Sunrise Memorial Hospital.
To quote her sister, Carrie, “Allean was tremendously loyal and loved her family and friends but she would also tell you the truth when you needed it.”
Gloria was born March 30, 1940, to parents, Seymore Brown Sr. and Maudine Otis Brown in Franklinton. She lived 75 triumphant and valiant years.
She is survived by her sister, Carrie L. Brown Thomas of North Las Vegas, Nev.; nephews: Michael A. Thomas of Silver Spring, Md., Brian K. Thomas of North Las Vegas and Jerome Brown of Detroit; and niece, Janette of Detroit.
Gloria will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. We take comfort in knowing that she is now with so many family and friends who are always watching over us.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., at Crain & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Washington St. in Franklinton, with the funeral service following directly at 11 a.m. with Rev. Terrence August officiating.
The burial will be at Hayes Chapel Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton is in charge of arrangements.
