Berry to run for parish council seat

Richard Berry is announcing his candidacy for Parish Council District 2.
He has spent much of his work career in customer service. He is a certified welder and worked for Trinity Shipyard as a welder, lead man, and in quality assurance. He has driven a propane truck for 23 years. He delivered gas for Herring Gas, Amerigas, and is currently with Propane Industrial Gases.
Berry is a lifelong resident of Washington Parish and a resident of District 2 since 1997. He graduated from Franklinton High School in 1971, and then joined the National Guard, where he served till 1977.
Berry is the son of Robert and Bobbie Blair Berry. He has been married to Debbie Erwin Berry for 43 years. He is the father of Rick, Clint, and Justin Berry and “pawpaw” to nine grandchildren.
Berry is a faithful member of Sunny Hill Baptist Church, where he serves as deacon, church treasurer, and Sunday school teacher. Previously, he was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, AWANA commander, and part of the AWANA ministry team.
Berry believes that his years spent in customer service have prepared him to serve as Washington Parish Councilman for District 2. He is asking for your support and vote on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, to allow him to serve District 2 on the Washington Parish Council.
