Melvina ‘Teta’ Hoover Richardson

Melvina “Teta” Hoover Richardson, 90, of Bush, died on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at her residence.

She was born Saturday, Oct. 4, 1924, in Robert, to Theodore Hoover and Lottie Gott-schalk Hoover.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Williams (Delos); granddaughters, Ellen Bernhardt (John), Elaine Wheat (Ellery) and Sherry Smith; grandsons, Lawrence “Bubby” Richardson Jr. and Donald Richardson; great-granddaughters, Danielle Bernhardt and Madison Richardson; great-grandsons, Colby Wheat, Justin Wheat, Louis Richardson, Patrick Richardson, Lance Richardson, Dalton Richardson and Dillon Richardson; great-great-granddaughters, Julie Wheat, Bella Wheat, Annabeth Wheat and Ashton Bernhardt; great-great-grandsons, Hunter Wheat and Vaiden Bernhardt; and a sister, Theodora O’Keefe.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Prentis “Pete” Richardson; sons, Lawrence “Peewee” Richardson and Donald Richardson; brothers, Buddy Hoover and Eugene Hoover; and sister, Jenny Hoag.

She was a past Worthy Matron of the Sunset Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington. Visitation was Monday, Aug. 24, from 11 a.m. to the service time. Interment followed in Grantham Cemetery, in Bush.
