Hilda Louise Creel Bennett Jordan

Hilda Louise Creel Bennett Jordan, born March 15, 1953, passed away Aug. 22, 2015, at the age of 62. She was a native and resident of Bogalusa and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by her mother, Geneva Jones Creel of Bogalusa; two sons, James Bennett Jr. of Denham Springs and George Todd Bennett of Livingston Parish; two daughters, Edith Jeanette Mitchell (Luther) of Denham Springs and Geneva Ann Price of Walker; five brothers, Billy Wayne Creel, Marvin Dewain Creel, Michael Wayne Creel, Kenneth Creel and Jerry Wayne Creel, all of Bogalusa; four sisters, Pearline Barber, Carolyn Ann Davis, Jackline Erwin and Wilda Faye Lavigne, all of Bogalusa; 15 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Creel; husbands, James Bennett Sr. and Robert “Bobby” Jordan; a brother, Leroy Creel; and a sister, Becky Fournet.

Visitation was held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 24, beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resumed after 8 a.m. Tuesday morning until service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Wesley Quave officiated the services and the interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery.
