On June 28, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Rachel Marie Carrier, 34, a resident of Pigott’s Crossing Road, on charges of carnal knowledge and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Bond was set at $30,000. She posted bond and was released on June 30. Bond conditions were specific and included no contact with the male juvenile victim.
In early August, the Sheriff’s Office received information that Carrier was continuing her sexual relationship with the male juvenile, as well as engaging in drug and alcohol behavior with other juveniles. Sheriff’s Office investigators and investigators from the Department of Children and Family Services determined that Carrier was involved in illegal and illicit sexual and drug activities with multiple juveniles, including her previous victim. Carrier was once again arrested and placed in the Washington Parish Jail, on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Carrier is charged with three felony counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and five felony counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. She remains in jail with her bond set at $75,000.
Sheriff Randy Seal was not at a loss of words concerning Carrier’s arrest.
“I’m outraged and sickened by the actions of this woman who is an obvious danger to any juvenile,” Seal said. “She is in jail where she belongs and is an excellent candidate for the penitentiary.
“It is difficult to comprehend any adult who is fixated with sexual and drug activity with juveniles. I appreciate our investigator and the assistance of the Department of Children and Family Services to get this woman out of society and behind bars where she needs to stay for a very long time.”
