J.W. Weary

J.W. Weary passed away at the age of 73 on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at his residence.

He was a laborer and was instrumental in building the Pearl River Bridge in Columbia, Miss. He loved life. He attended Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Dexter, Miss.

Weary was blessed to have found love and married the Rev. Emma L. Bullock, and to that union twin daughters, Martha Weary-Nelson and Minister Dr. Mary Weary-Hossley (Kenneth) were born. He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Vernon Mark (Geneva); and his daughters, Cynthia Hart, Shirley Pittman and Annette Fortenberry; his sisters,

Merlie Moses (Anderson), Jewelean Crumedy, Hawillie Weary and Betty Robinson; and his brothers, Bennie Guy (Laurie) and Robert Govan (Rachel).

He had 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nolemer “Pam” Bond; his grandmothers, Ludie Wright and Sarah Bickham; grandfathers, T.J. Weary and Silas Bickham; his

brothers, Carmel Weary, M.J. Weary, Esau Weary Jr., Larry Bullock and

Jerry Bullock; his sisters, Colean Brock; and his grandson, Vernon

Mark Jr.

He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He loved fishing and spending quality time with his son, father, mother, sisters and brothers. He looked forward to all his visits with his grandsons. He was full of laughter and enjoyed family gatherings.

Visitation will be on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Dexter, Miss., with Pastor Reginald Russell officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
