Reginald Bourne

Reginald Jesse Bourne, age 81 and a resident of Pine, died at 4 a.m. on Wednesday Aug. 12, 2015, at his home. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War Era and a member of Bethel Baptist Church near Poplarville. Reggie, alongside his family, was a restauranteur throughout the area for 45 years. He was the owner/operator of House of Seafood, the House of Seafood Market and Express and also Bourne’s Restaurant in Sheridan. He was always a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maureen Crain Bourne of Pine, two sons and daughters-in-law, Reginald Gregory Bourne and Cindy Bourne and Ramie and Suzi Bourne, all of Pine; eight grandchildren and spouses, Bubba and Sandra Bourne, Chris and Shena Bourne, Chelsie Bourne, Cody Bourne, Dane Bourne, Eric Bourne, Brooke Pierce and Jordan Pierce; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Grayson, Aaron, Ashlynn and Myles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Bourne; his parents, J. Dorsey Bourne and Elizabeth Burge Bourne; a brother, Robert Bourne; and sisters, Janice, Reba, Helen and Ann.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Easterling and the Rev. John Lowery officiating. Burial followed in the Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors performed by the American Legion of Bogalusa.

The pallbearers were Chris Bourne, Cody Bourne, Bubba Bourne, Eric Bourne, Dane Bourne and Keith Gorum. The honorary pallbearers were Charles Ray Rogers, Harry Bowen and Hal Hendrick.
