The Rotary Club of Bogalusa recently installed new officers for 2015-16.
Among them are President Merlin Duke, Vice President Bill Moon, Secretary R.L. Palmer, Treasurer Larry Miller, Sergeant-at-arms Ellis Sampson and At-Large Director Chyrll McCrary.
Before the installation, Immediate Past President Billy Hartfield reflected on his year leading the club in his adopted home of Bogalusa.
“I could spend my time elsewhere, but I choose to be here,” he said as he recalled some of the club’s recent activities, including planting the Centennial Tree in Cassidy Park.
“All in all, I think we are better now than we were a year ago,” he continued. “Let’s continue to light up Rotary and lead the way in our community.”
