On July 2, 2015, God called one of his servants on to be with him, the Rev. Wesley Cyprian Sr. He was the pastor of Bethel Reform Methodist Church.

The Rev. Wesley leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Patricia Cyprian; four daughters, Lorna (Cornelius) Lewis of Baton Rouge, Waketa Brister of Bogalusa, Ieshia (Richard) Morris of Covington and Andressen (Henri) Walker of Covington; two sons, Wesley Cyprian Jr. of Jackson, Miss., and Kevin Redmond of Atlanta; eight grandchildren, Destiny Cyprian of Jackson, Cornelius Jr. and Kirsten Lewis of Baton Rouge, Dansheeta and Fernando Brister of Bogalusa, Kevin Redmond Jr. of Atlanta and Rory and Royal Morris of Covington; four great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jamarious and Jaliyah Brister of Bogalusa and Fernando Brister Jr. of Bogalusa; eight siblings, Bobby Jean Cyprian of Bogalusa, Douglas (Mary Lee) May of Los Angeles, and Hollis Brown, Mary Alice Laurent, Howard Brown, David (Sue) Brown, Clyde (Jackie) Brown, and Jeanette Brow, all of Bogalusa; three goddaughters, Rosalind Magee of Geismar, La., Airlynn Garriett of New Orleans and Vernadine Roberts of Varnado; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Armstrong Robinson; his father, Thomas Cyprian; one sister, Elizabeth May; one brother, Joseph May; two grandchildren, Corey Cyprian and Kourtney Lewis; and one goddaughter, Rosalind Young.

A wake service will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, at 6 p.m. at Bethel Reform Methodist Church, 602 W. 29th Ave., Covington. The Rev. Rodney Barney is officiating and the Rev. George T. Burris will be eulogist.

The funeral service will be Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 63343 Par Road. 420, Angie, with the Rev. Terrence August pastor officiating and the Rev.
