Marquel Duane Peters was born on April 28, 1973, to the late James Howard Peters and Irene Lanelle Peters in Bogalusa. He departed this life at his home in Bogalusa on June 16, 2015.

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his loving mother, Irene Peters of Bogalusa; one brother, The Rev. Myron Dinnard (Cheryle) Peters of Baton Rouge; one nephew, Myron Dinnard Peters II; and one niece, Mia Daniece Peters, both of Baton Rouge; one uncle, Williams Earl (Catherine) Peters of Gretna; and the Rev. Willie Imes of Clinton, N.C.; five aunts, Celia Forbes of Bogalusa, Hilda and Carolyn Peters of Elkhart, Ind.; Corine Watson of Milwaukee and Ellen (Rev. Willie) Imes of Clinton; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Peters; one brother, Phillip Warren Peters; one sister, Phyllis Deborah Peters; one niece, Calrissa Leah Peters; his maternal grandparent, Jim and Isabelle Brown; his paternal grandparent, the Rev. Curtis and Annie Peters; six uncles, C.L. Peters, Glenn B. Peters Sr., Zebedee Peters, Clinton Brown, Jimmy Brown and Cleveland Brown; seven aunts, Claudette Cotton, Audrey Owens, Neita Evens, Leola Peters, Ellen Imes, Ora Dee Brown and Betty Brown; and a host of other relatives.
