Nita Faye Gipson, age 79, passed away June 8, 2015, at her residence in Bogalusa. She was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, the Rev. Marlin Gipson; and three grandchildren, Talitha Miller, Tripper Gipson and Casey M. Gipson.

She was preceded in death by a son, Marlin Gipson Jr.; her parents, Rankin and Geneva Johnson; brother, Toby Johnson; and a sister; Bille Bullock.

Visitation was held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 12, 2015, from 9 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Meigs will officiate.
