Menola Williams

Menola Bennett Williams, born Nov. 7, 1929, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2015. She was a long-time resident of Bogalusa and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by two sons, Danny Williams and his wife Sheila Williams and Raymond Williams and his wife Joy, all of Bogalusa; one brother, Aaron “Buster” Bennett of Mt. Hermon; three sisters, Lynell Thoele of Slidell, Earline Sharp of Walker, La., and Willie B. Schilling, also of Mt. Hermon; four grandchildren, Brannon Ray Williams, Jonathon Williams, Joel Williams and Jody Williams; six great-grandchildren, Matthew Valencia, Merek Williams, Katelyn Williams, Liliana Williams, Mattie Williams and Jude Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hulon and Mabel Moak Bennett; her husband, Albert Joe Williams; four brothers, Ellery Bennett, Wayne Bennett, Ike Bennett and Allen Bennett; and two sisters, Viola Jenkins and Ola Mae Miley.

Visitation was June 2, 2015, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. The Rev. Travis Houston officiated the services and the interment followed in Hillview Memorial Gardens on Spring Valley Road.
