Smiley‘s Inflatables and local Primerica Insurance agents are partnering together to present an “End of Year School Bash” May 31 at the Avenue B Sports Complex in Bogalusa.
“I’ve always been active in the community. This would be a great way to give back to the community and congratulate the kids on a successful school year,” Primerica agent and Smiley’s Inflatables owner Dana Walker said. “It’s a family event. We’ll have everything for the kids like snoballs, cotton candy, jumpers, hot dogs, a kids zone, and the children’s train. Children will be able to have pictures taken with their favorite cartoon character.”
A DJ is scheduled to be on hand.
The event is free to the public.
It is scheduled to run from 2 to 6 p.m.
Walker said information will be provided to teach children how to have a safe and happy summer.
She said information will be provided by local Primerica agents on topics such as avoiding trouble, eating healthy and having an active lifestyle over the summer months.
Local Primerica agents include Ashley Berry, Glennis McKelphin Jr., Chiietra Brown, Lonnie Magee and Michelle Douglas.
Walker said the event will have college students reading to the younger participants.
“We encourage parents to bring their lawn chairs and towels if their child wants to get on the water slide,” Walker said.
Walker said Smiley’s hosted a similar event in 2012.
“Every year Smiley’s partners with Project Hope and has a senior party for all parish schools,” Walker said. “College students will be able to win a number of prizes.”
