Mr. James Blackburn passed away at the age of 68 on May 3, 2015.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Linda Blackburn of Nevada; one son, Wesley James Blackburn of Hammond; three daughters, Olivia Blackburn of Nevada, and Henrietta Quinn and Sharon Quinn, both of Oakland, Calif.; three brothers, Jimmy Blackburn of Lacombe, Ike Long of Independence, and Donald Ray Lewis of Detroit, Mich.; two sister, Margaret L. Blackburn of Abita Springs and Betty Paxton of Little Rock, Ark.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Luberta and Genie Blackburn; and one son, Donald Ray Blackburn.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Bogalusa Chapel.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Mt. Hermon. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements. Sign the guestbook at crainandsons.com.
