Services for Blanche L. Christian were held Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Miss. Burial followed in Ellisville City Cemetery in Ellisville, with Ellisville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Bro. Dwight Smith, Bro. Kent Miller and Bro. Brad Griffin officiated.

Mrs. Christian, 85, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Miss. She was born Monday, Jan. 20, 1930, in Jones County, Miss.

Mrs. Christian was a member of West Ellisville Baptist Church, where she was the last chartered member. She loved cooking, quilting and singing with the Joy Club Singers at West Ellisville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William H. Christian; parents, Sylvester and Mae McRaney Myrick; brothers, Raymond Lee Myrick, Homer Myrick, Lester Myrick and Joe “JB” Myrick; sisters, Pauline Welch, Aline Poole, Jessie Mae Moses and Mattie Myrick; and grandson-in­law, Staff Sgt. Brian Freeman, U.S. Army (Iraq 2005.)

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Christian (Linda), Ellisville; daughters, Pam Kidd (Wayne), Enterprise, Miss. andPatti Wascom (Greg), Bogalusa; five grandchildren, Leah Reed (Jeff), Newport News, Va., Chad Christian, Ellisville, Sunni Killingsworth (Ricky) Bogalusa, Brandon Kidd, Starkville, Miss. and Megan Kidd, Enterprise; nine great-grandchildren, Abbi Christian and Gabe Wheat Christian, Petal, Miss., Kayla Reed, Gabbi Reed, Nathan Reed and Hannah Reed, of Pennsylvania, Hawk Reed, Newport News and Max Killingsworth and Ada Victoria Killingsworth, Bogalusa.

Serving as pallbearers were Paul Welch, James Robert Poole, Chad Christian, Gabe Christian, Brandon Kidd and Ricky Killingsworth of Bogalusa.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the West Ellisville Baptist Church Building Fund, at 1108 B Ave, Ellisville, MS 39437.

Visitation was held Friday, May 8, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 9, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. until service time at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville.
