One individual was arrested Wednesday after Bogalusa Police Department officers heard gunshots fired.

An officer on patrol heard the shots and alerted the department, according to Bogalusa Police Chief Joe Culpepper.

Culpepper said the shots came from Charlevoix Street. Culpepper said the call came in at 8:53 p.m. He said the department is searching for another individual in the case.

He declined to release the name of the individual arrested pending the ongoing investigation.
