Thomas Davis Wheeler Sr., a resident of Franklinton, age 65, born Jan. 13, 1950, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene R. Wheeler; two sons, Thomas (Debbie) Davis Wheeler Jr. and Scott (Pamela) Welch; two sisters, Annie Laura Williams and Lois (Dewitt) Craft; three stepchildren, Melinda (Stanley) Penny, Kristina (Stacey) Hamilton, and Joshua Pugh; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar T. Wheeler and Edna Evans Wheeler; his first wife, Gwen Wheeler; one son, Daniel Blair Wheeler; five brothers and one step brother, Lonnie Wheeler, Johnny Wheeler, Walter Wheeler, Hershel Wheeler, Wilford Wheeler and Jean Moore; and two sisters, Estelle Welch and Betty Kate Myrick.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Monday, April 27, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation continued at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28,2015, at 9 a.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Pete Williams officiated. Interment followed at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogalusa.
