Gene Autry Carnegie, a resident of Bogalusa, age 72, born on Dec. 18, 1942, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the Louisiana Heart Hospital in Lacombe.

He is survived by two sons, Justin (Rachel) Carnegie of Crossroads, Miss., and Chad Carnegie of Baton Rouge; one brother, Ben (Karen) Carnegie of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two grandsons, Justin Carnegie and Jakob Carnegie.

He was preceded in death by one son, Clayton Eugene Carnegie; and by his parents, Olie V. Carnegie and Ruby Crain Carnegie.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 24, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
