Willie Simmons Jr., age 69, a resident of Franklinton, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015, in Poplarville, Miss.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Michael Fortenberrry of Franklinton and Harry Simmons of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Renee Simmons and Shirley Gains, both of Franklinton, and Pansy Simmons of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Mable Simmons of Kentwood, Willean Francis of Tennessee and Gloria Lewis of Independence, La.; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Cloudia Simmons Sr.; five borthers, J.C., Daniel, David, V.O. and Richard Simmons; two sisters, Hazel Brumfield and Kathlean Andry; and one grandchild, Eric Warren.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Magee’s Temple Church of God in Christ in Franklinton, with Supt. Cecealine Tate officiating.
