Izeller Smith was born on Jan. 7, 1957, to Alfreda Smith. He departed this life on April 1, 2015, at Our Lady of the Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.

Izeller leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Deontre Smith of Abbeville, La.; two sons, Duane Smith of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Isiah Harrison of Newport News, Va.; two stepsons, Broc Harrison and Keland Harrison of Abbeville, La.; three sisters, Tyronda Gilmore of Poplarville, Miss., Ernestine Smith of Bogalusa and Ruth Hunt of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers-in-law, Douglas Hunt, Levi Harry and David Gilmore; two grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Izeller Smith; three uncles, Perry, Julius and Cleother Smith; grandmother, Luhara Beasley; and grandfather, Julius Smith.

The visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Jefferson officiating. The interment will be held at Live Oak Cemetery.
