Muriel Spencer

Muriel Sticker Spencer was born in Bush on March 3, 1927, and departed this life for her heavenly home at 88 years old, on March 29, 2015.

She married Elton Spencer on Dec. 23, 1944. They were faithful members of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. where she served as Sunday school teacher for many years.

She is survived by a loving devoted daughter, Elaine Knight of Bogalusa, Felicia Magee of Monroe; grandchildren, Brian Knight (Cristi), Niki Knight Cooper (Edgar), Maranda Magee, Marissa Magee and Brayden Magee; great-grandchildren, Caroline Knight, Carlton Knight, Spencer Cooper, Gavin Cooper and Brayden Magee; sisters, Mary Parker of Mina, Ark., and Martha Davis of Mandeville; a brother, Daniel Sticker; sisters-in-law, Pat Ladner (George) of Pine, Frankie Spencer of Jackson, Miss. and Helen Spencer of Varnado; and special friends, Judy Miley and Sharon Seals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Spencer; son-in-law, Floyd Knight; parents, George and Addie Rayburn Sticker; a brother, Melvin Sticker; sisters, Necie Smith, Jessie Car and Frankie Thomas; and a very special friend Todd Miley.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m., with Bro. Mark Hobgood and Bro. Billy Reyer officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
