Bogalusa Chamber offering business start-up workshop

The Bogalusa Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring workshops for starting and financing you’re your business at Northshore Technical Community College.

The first session is Tuesday, March 31 from 9-11 a.m. The program will be presented by Sandy Boudreaux, of the Small Business Development Center.

This workshop is recommended for all individuals interested in determining the feasibility of their business idea, who are planning to start or have recently started a small business, are seeking a small business loan, or are wanting to learn more about business planning.

Topics of discussion will include writing a business plan, sources of funds for start-up and/or expansion, small business resources and required licenses. Provided for the client are handouts, work sheets and outlines to expedite the learning process of planning business start-ups and business expansion ventures. Emphasis is placed upon business plan development, feasibility studies, marketing plans, advertising plans, financial analysis and sources of suppliers. The counseling department has research resources available to their clients, including accumulated secondary research, references, magazine subscriptions, clipped articles, business start-up guides, and the Internet.
