Lillie Gordon

Lillie Pearl Thompson Gordon, born Aug. 4, 1947, age 67, a resident of Franklinton, transitioned into heavenly peace on March 17, 2015, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. She was a faithful church member of Sweet Rest Baptist Church in Franklinton and a dedicated employee of 23 years at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton. She attended Washington Parish Schools.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Tina (Derrick) Bickham and Litisha (Bruce) Ladner of Slidell and Shirrelle Gordon of Franklinton; five grandchildren, Jahlisa, Derrick Jr., Triston, Starr and Brycen; one great-grandchild, Jaidynn; two sisters, Hattie (Elder Albert) Brumfield of Mt. Hermon and Ollie Thompson of Franklinton; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her very much! She loved her family and friends, and she was truly loved! She will be greatly missed!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Thompson and Clotiele Shanks Thompson of Franklinton; and one brother, Eddie Lee Thompson.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church at 1811 Desmare St. in Franklinton. There will be a Family Comfort Hour at the church preceding the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
