Charlie Gavin passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

He was a member of Elizabeth Sullivan Methodist Church. He was a watchmaker for 25 years and later retired from Rayburn Correctional Center. He was a graduate of Jones County Junior College and served in the United States Army.

He is survived by two sons, Victor Gavin and Jason Gavin; one daughter, Schirley Russell and her husband David all of Bogalusa; two granddaughters, Melanie Lively and her husband Dustin and Macey Russell of Metairie; one grandson, Matthew Russell and one great-grandson, Danyan Brian Lively.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Field Thigpen officiating. Interment follows at Ponemah Cemetery.
