Daniel E. Fournet, born on June 29, 1934, died Thursday, March 19, 2015.

He was the fourth child, second son, of Gladys Johnson and Emile J. Fournet of Bogalusa.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Georgette Wheat Fournet; a daughter, Sissy Diane Fournet Bennett (Webb); four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sybil Cache, Margie Seals and Brenda Fournet; one brother, Emile Fournet; and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Olivia Yvette Fournet Burkes; a son, Daniel E. Fournet, Jr.; a sister, Dorothy Fournet Burcham; and a brother, Sidney F. Fournet.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, March 20, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Visitation continued at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service was at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Chad Jenkins officiating. Interment followed at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
