Deep South Bible College, a ministry of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church, is located at 58521 Louisiana Highway 439. What began in September of 1994 as The Way Bible Institute has grown over the years. Recently the vision was expanded, and Deep South Bible College was born.

According to Jerry Lynn Martin, D.D., founder and chancellor, “For years we have been working toward the ministry that God has so graciously set before us, and we anticipate God meeting the needs of the school as we meet the needs of others in ministry. We look forward to training men and women of all ages for the ministry to which God has called them. This could be training a lay person in the local church, a missionary preparing to go to a foreign field, a pastor standing in the pulpit heralding forth God’s word or the chosen doorkeeper at the house of God. We believe all workmen of our precious Lord are important to His body and should do their very best to equip themselves for the work to which they are called.”

President of Deep South Bible College Harold Gaddy, M.Ed., believes that the need for intensive Bible training is great especially in the present time when the mores of society are rapidly changing.

According to Gaddy, “Our world may change, but God’s word never changes. Christian workers need to be prepared to reach this generation with the gospel of Christ. More intense training has now become critical in our service for Christ.

“For so long Christian workers in our area have had to travel long distances in order to take Bible courses that would help them in ministry. Now, the Lord has led Ben’s Ford Baptist Church to establish a Bible College, which will help our local Christian community and the entire Deep South region to prepare without having to move great distances to take advantage of an excellent Bible education. Godly instructors will challenge students Biblically, spiritually and academically.

“We ask that you prayerfully consider Deep South Bible College for you Christian training needs.”
