Agnes Moore

Agnes Moore, age 70 and a resident of Angie, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.

Agnes was a member of Wesley Ray United Methodist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Terrence S. August. She served on the Usher Board, the Church Anniversary Committee, the United Methodist Women and the Mission Department, was a supporter of the Youth Department, a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and was co-chairperson of the Hospitality Committee.

She leaves a legacy for her two children, Mona (Jeff) Moore of Milwaukee, Wis., and Marcus (Jessica) Moore of Greensboro, N.C.; her six grandchildren, Marquis Myles, Marquell, Meleah, Jessiah and Destiney; three sisters, Mamie Robinson, Joannie Jefferson and Nancy C. Lewis; one brother, Jason Lewis; one godchild, Hope A. Jeffers; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a dear extended family, Christine, TiAirria and KeAirria Geen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Alberta Lewis (Spikes); her husband, Frank Moore; one sister, Verstie Rogers; and two brothers, Jessie J. Lewis and J.J. Lewis.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church, 30773 Wesley Ray Road, Angie, with the Rev. Terrence August officiating. Interment will be held in the Wesley Ray Church Cemetery in Angie. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
