Willie Earl “Dub” Breland, age 80, passed away on March 2, 2015, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Gaudet Breland; three sons, William “Billy,” Michael and Robbie; four grandchildren, Heather Friday (Jerry) of Houston, Trent Breland (Britanie) of Independence, La., Sarah Breland of Poplarville, Miss., and Joey Breland of Schriever, La.; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorthy Landry of Chalmette, La. The family extends a special thank you to Karen Daniels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wid and Ethel Rester Breland; a sister, Marie, and her husband, Joseph Bilello; and two brothers, Marshell and Joey Breland.

He made his home in the Oak Grove Community and was born in Pine. Dub retired from Union Carbide and spent his retirement raising july hounds, fox hunting and growing vegetables.

He fought a courageous fight against cancer for over 20 years and later Alzheimer’s disease.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at a time to be announced.
