Bogalusa Street Closures

City of Bogalusa Public Works Director James Hall said parts of Austin and Okeechobee streets will be blocked off starting Wednesday, March 4, so pavement can be dug up and replaced with a new layer of asphalt.

Hall said the streets will be blocked off through Friday, March 6.

Highway 438 Lane Closures

There will be alternating, intermittent lane closures of both eastbound and westbound lanes on Louisiana Highway 438 between the Junction of Louisiana Highway 38 in Mt. Hermon to the junction of Louisiana Highway 438 Spur, beginning Sunday, March 1, through Thursday, April 30 (weather permitting) while crews place borrow, place asphalt roadway and remove and replace guard rail, striping and rumble strips.

At least one lane will remain open to traffic at all times.

To avoid delays, motorists traveling east on Highway 438 may take Highway 38 East to Louisiana Highway 430 and travel east on Highway 430 to Highway 438. Motorists traveling west on Highway 438 may take Highway 430 West to Highway 38 and travel west on Highway 38 to Highway 438.
