Sybil Marie Goings, 88, of Bogalusa passed away Jan. 31, 2015. She was born July 8, 1926, to George and Daisy M. Goings.

She was a nursing assistant at Bogalusa Community Center for several years before retiring, a member of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church and part-time nursery worker.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara W. Lott, Sherry Wood and Debra N. Seal, all of Bogalusa; eight grandchildren, Teresa L. Elliot, Mellisa A. Wood, John M. (Woody) Wood, Luther W. (Rusty) Patterson, Rhonda P. Williams, George A. (Dotti) Walters, Thomas F. (Tommy) Seal and Samantha L. Seal (George Vonderbruegge); 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, George M. Goings; her mother, Daisy Malley Goings; two brothers, George M. Goings Jr. and Robert D. Goings; a son, Terry Wood; and a daughter, Linda N. Phelps.

There will be a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to the autism society in honor of her great-grandson, Zachary Lott.
