Myrna Williams

Myrna Byrd Williams went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at the age of 98. She was known as a very joyful lady who made everyone who came in contact with her feel like he or she was the most special person in her life. She lived her life to the fullest and didn’t waste a single day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Williams; a brother and sister-in-law, Joe Byrd and Anna Lee Byrd Blackwell; a nephew, Kendall Byrd; and her mother and father, John Ira and Valera Stockstill Byrd.

She is survived by a nephew, John E. (Martine) Byrd of Houston; six great-nephews and -nieces, David (Katherine) Byrd of Baton Rouge, Rebecca (Adam) Kemp of Bogalusa, Holley (Norman) Hobbs of Katy, Texas, Sarah (Menko) Thompson of Pioneer, La., Christopher Byrd of Baton Rouge and Jennifer (Allen) Turner of Odessa, Texas; and 15 great-great-nieces and -nephews, Luke, Olivia and Aubrie Kemp, Cody and Caitlyn Hobbs, Douglas and Victoria Byrd, Christian, Seth, Jacob, Carly, Peyton and Lauren Thompson and Beaux and Adrianna Turner.

She is also survived by a stepdaughter, Sally (Jack) Williams Depree of Tampa, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Rob (Kimber) Heineman, Ginny (Scott) Heineman Walker, Rick Heineman and Sarah (Dale) Heineman Williams.

A celebration of her life will be held Easter weekend. Family and friends are invited to attend.
