Johnnie Robinson, born July 7, 1947, departed this world to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015.

Bro. Robinson accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Varnado under the leadership of the Rev. A.S. Nelson Sr. He attended Wesley Ray High School in Angie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Nancy Robinson; two sisters, Annie Lee Lucus and Pearlie D. Boyd; and four brothers, Ezekiel, Levi and Leroy Robinson and James “J.C.” Harry. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Claudzella; two daughters, Brigida (Rickey) Addison and Jocelyn (Darrell) Eldridge; one son, Terrence (Tedra) White of Houston; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Eddie Merl Bickham, Mary Louise (Robert) Smith of Varnado, Ellen Gean (Richard) Mathews and Jerry Dean (Ruldoph) Thompson of Houston; three brothers, Billy Wayne Robinson of Houston, Frankie (Franchis) Robinson of Elizabeth, N.J., and Charles (Regina) Robinson of Chicago. He further leaves a host of dear nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., with funeral services immediately following at Calvary United Methodist Church at 4819 Denmark St., Houston.
