In an act of heroism, Lindsey Kathleen Crain, born July 31, 1986, gave her life while protecting her mother on Jan. 29, 2015. She was 28.

Lindsey leaves behind a daughter, Laylee Kathleen Ann Strength, 3; a fiancé, Leonard “Lenny” Strength; her mother, Paula Crain; and her father, Pascal (Pat) Majoria Jr.

She was preceded in death by her half-sister, Laylin Briana Crain; her maternal grandparents, Kathleen Willis and Kenneth Newton Crain; her great-grandmother, Pauline Crain Kennedy; her maternal uncle, Brian Keith Crain; and her paternal grandparents, Pascal Sr. and Leona Majoria.

She is also survived by her uncles, Steve Crain (Yvette) and Steven Majoria; aunts, Linda Braud (Martin), Susie Cherry (Joe), Deborah Hendrix and Brenda Atchinson (Wayne); and cousins, Shae and Taylor Crain, Ashley and Jeff Braud, Heather Cherry, Alvaro Pertuz, Melissa Stevens, Hollie Townsend, Neal Stout, Starr Atchinson and Steven, Michelle and Taylor Majoria.

On Feb. 4, 2015, there will be a visitation at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and a service beginning at 7 p.m. Again on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Bible Baptist Church, 29560 Louisiana Highway 424 in Franklinton, visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A service will be held starting at 1 p.m., and following will be a burial at War-Crain Cemetery in Thomas.
