Clyde Owens

Mr. Clyde Edward Owens was the son of the late Olivia Weary Owens and Marcell Owens, born Dec. 10, 1947. He was a resident of the Homestead Community. Clyde departed this earthly life on Jan. 27, 2015, at Homestead Hospital in Homestead, Fla., at the age of 67.

“Peter,” as he was affectionately called, was a very lovable person. He accepted Christ at an early age. He reared seven children with Sylvia Ann Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olivia and Marcell Owens; sisters, Metia Nell Nichols, Mattie Sell Owens and Emma Ball; and brothers, J.L. Weary and Levarn Owens.

Clyde leaves to cherish his memories his children, Clyde Edward (Kenisha) Richardson of Mineral Wells, Texas, Edward Charles Richardson and Tabeetha Letha Olivia Richardson, both of Bogalusa, Alexandria Richardson of Arlington, Texas, and Natalie Richardson of Bogalusa; a half-brother, Bobby Spikes; a special niece, Vanessa Sheridan of Homestead; special nephews, Larry Weary, Delester Weary, Mark Sheridan and Deven Sheridan; a special friend, Gloria Avery; his special family, the Youngbloods; 16 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.
