Kathleen Letecia Mizell, age 89, passed away Jan. 1, 2015, at the residence of her daughter. She was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Plainview Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Ronald P. Mizell (Sharon) of Magnolia, Miss.; two daughters, Ellen Mizell Bailey (Leverette) of Bogalusa and Kay Mizell Robbins (Danny) of Franklinton; two brothers, Robert Roy Nichols Jr. of Covington and John Edward Nichols of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a special great-niece, Misti Magee Miley (Steve) Thomas, and her three children; and a special daughter-in-law, Beth Mizell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvelee Mizell; son, James Robert “Bob” Mizell; her parents, Richard and Bevie Mizell Nichols; one sister, Ella Dee Bowman; and grandchildren, Bridgette L. Bailey and Matthew D. Robbins.

Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Plainview Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Scott Breland and the Rev. Garlin Mizell will officiate
