Alice Rawls Jarrell, age 84, born on Oct. 17, 1930, in Bogalusa, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at her residence in Bogalusa.

She is survived by two daughters, Marsha Jarrell (Robin) Ragland and Teri (Richard) Boneno; one son, Richard C. Jarrell; eight grandchildren, Keri Grantham, Holly O’Sullivan, Melissa Jarrell, Amy Holland, Lee Worsham, Luke Boneno, Andrew Boneno and Jennina Herndon; 10 great-grandchildren, Emrys Grantham, Bethany Wagner, Brian Wagner Jr., Audrey Worsham, Grace Worsham, Sean Worsham, Johnny Herndon, Richard Herndon, Kenny Herndon and Elijah Herndon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. W. Jarrell; one son, Mark Patrick Jarrell; and her parents, Patrick Melton Rawls and Mary Nettie Hall Rawls.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral services were held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home chapel at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating. Interment followed at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
