William O. “Dub” Magee, 86, passed away Dec. 26, 2014, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Miss.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Ruth Pierce Magee; one son Gene Magee (LeAnn); two grandchildren, Clay Magee (Sarah) and Kimberly Hester (Lex); and three great-grandchildren, Brecon Hester, Hallie Hester and Ann Reece Magee.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lucinda Lynette Magee; one brother, J.E. Jewell Magee; and one sister, Dimple Dillon.

Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. A visitation was held at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A graveside service was held Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Oral Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Caleb Martin, the Rev. Lynn Martin and the Rev. Jimmy Bryd officiated.
