Jonathan W. Watts

Jonathan Willis Watts walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Dec. 23, 2014, at the age of 33.

Jonathan is survived by his loving aunts, Brenda Williams of Varnado and Patty (Dennis) Brignac of Hammond; his father, Henry Watts of Franklinton; his uncle, Lavell (Paulette) Watts of Bogalusa; first cousin, Kasey Brignac of Hammond; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Williams; maternal grandparents, Ancel and Evelyn Williams; paternal grandparents, Lavelle and Louise Watts; uncle, Ancel Williams Jr.; and great grandparents, John and Aver Dawsey.

Jonathan was a 2000 graduate of Varnado High School where he was actively involved in the total school program. He was a member of Varnado United Methodist Church. Jonathan served two tours in Iraq with the United States Marine Corp. He embraced life and people with every cell of his being. Jonathan will be greatly missed!

Funeral arrangements were handled by Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa. Visitation was held on Saturday, Dec. 27, at Varnado United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral followed at 2 p.m., with interment at the T.P. Fornea Cemetery in Varnado.
