Shelton Gary Wells was born on Sept. 22, 1958, in Bogalusa and departed this life on Dec. 11, 2014.

Shelton was a very good-hearted person who truly cared for the well being of friends and family and loved life to the fullest. He was always there for a friend in need and loved visiting with people and keeping things neat and tidy.

Shelton was preceded in death by his father, Chester Lee Wells; and brothers, Gussie Wells and Stanley Ray Wells.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Wells (Honeybun); two granddaughters, Kristina and Haille; one grandson, Jacob; his mother, Elsa “Nonna” Maizen Wells of Pittsboro, N.C.; two brothers, Steven Wells (Kathy Caldwell) of Columbus, Miss., and Sidney Wells of Crossroads, Miss.; one sister, Shelia Wells Griffiths of Pittsboro, N.C.; and 11 nieces and nephews, as well as aunts and uncles and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

Per Shelton’s request, his remains will be interred with his brother, Stanley, and a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Shelton requested that donations be made to your favorite charity.
