Care and Share deadline today

Today is the final day to submit donations to The Daily News’ annual Care and Share program.

More donations are currently needed for the paper to reach its goal of supplying 75 families with $75 food vouchers for the holidays, so please give generously to ensure the program’s success. The office, located at 525 Avenue V in Bogalusa, will be open until 5 p.m. today.

So far this year, The Daily News has received a little more than $2,000 in donations, but we still have a long way to go to reach our goal.

Everyone at the newspaper extends heartfelt thanks to those who have already given this year: the American Legion Auxiliary; the Washington Parish Commission on Human Services; Richard M. Lively; Betty Batton; Sherryl Holliday; David Sprehe; John and Mary Boulware; W.J. and Louise Blevins; Rita and Effie Clayton; Town and Country Homemakers; and several anonymous donors.

Today is also the deadline to turn in nominations for this year’s Care and Share program.
