James Graham

James Rudolph Graham, age 93 and born on March 27, 1921, in Sumrall, Miss., passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at his residence in Bogalusa.

He was a WWII veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Masons, a member of Emmanual Missionary Baptist Church and a retired woodmill supervisor at Crown Zellerbach.

He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn (James) Spears of Bogalusa; one son, Leon (Kathy) Graham of Bogalusa; a daughter-in-law, Viki Graham of Bogalusa; two brothers, Bill (Linda) Graham of Ruston, La., and Joseph T. (Blanche) Wheat Jr. of Bastrop, La.; seven grandchildren, George (Anna) Wolbrecht III, Graham Wolbrecht, Candace Stewart, James (Aleta) Spears II, Leigh Anne Graham, Micah Graham and Kristen Graham; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Carrier Graham; a daughter, Betty Ann Wolbrecht; and a son, Archie Ray Graham.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with masonic services at 7 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Emmanual Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, from 9 a.m. until noon. The funeral services will be held at noon, with the Rev. Pete Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanual Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
