The Bogalusa Main Street Program presents its second annual Tis The Season Street Stroll Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Again this year, craftsmen and artisans from all over the southeast will attend. Many of the favorite vendors from last year are returning.

Main Street will also have food vendors specializing in Cajun cuisine and many other favorites, such as pralines, kettle corn, boiled peanuts, blooming onions, funnel cakes and much more.

Local musicians are featured again this year. On Saturday, Nov. 29, from noon to 2 p.m., Ched Reeves will be performing. Reeves is a former resident of Bogalusa. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., The Birdies Boys, a regional favorite, will perform. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., a new local group, Old King Bogue, performs.

On Nov. 30, from 1:30 p.m., to 4 p.m., a local favorite, Black Creek, will perform.

In addition to the great craftsmen, artisans, food and live entertainment, there will be a children’s section with miniature pony rides, petting zoo, Santa and a photographer taking pictures at the Christmas Shack.

To give visitors the full shopping experience, all of the shops downtown will be open and offering holiday specials. The Coffee Mill and 437 will also be open during this event.

Columbia Street will be blocked at Third to Sixth streets and Fourth to through traffic. Parking will be on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Fourth Street, in front of The Daily News and on Avenue U along the street. Handicap parking will be designated in front of the old Capital One building on Columbia Street.
