Guy O’Quin

Guy Randall O’Quin, age 53, born on Aug. 14, 1961, in Bogalusa, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at his residence in Covington.
He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was an EMT for 16 years for Acadian Ambulance Service. He worked 13 years at Walmart Distribution Center in Robert. He was a fishing and hunting sportsman and worked at Land Of Sports.
He is survived by his significant other, who loved and cherished him, Eileen White of Covington; a daughter, Lauren O’Quin of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a son, Nicholas O’Quin of Hammond; a grandson, Noah O’Quin of Hattiesburg, Miss.; his mother, Mildred Wheat O’Quin; four sisters, Sydnie (Robert) Ezell, Terry Fontenot and Karen (Danny) Fontenot, all of Bogalusa, and Sandra (Geary) La’Maison O’Quin of Marrero; two brothers, Ronald (Tara) O’Quin of Bogalusa and Donald (Corinne) O’Quin of Kenner; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Mitzi.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lepole Ralph O’Quin; and a brother, James Michael Ramsey.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at 11 a.m., followed by noon services at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Ziegler officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
The family offers thanks to the staff at Legacy Hospice for their care and compassion.
