In loving memory of De’Marquis La’Juan “Petey” “Shotgun” Wilson I
De’Marquis La’Juan Wilson was born on Dec. 25, 1990, to Keiwanda Wilson-Benjamin and the late Jerome Walker. He was the first of five children and will be remembered as a devoted son, brother, father and friend.
He departed this life on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at Our Lady of Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.
He is survived by his loving mother, Keiwanda Wilson-Benjamin of Bogalusa; his children, De’Marquis Wilson II, Kaylee Belton, Kayden Belton and his unborn daughter, Haylei Wilson, all of Bogalusa; two sisters, Jerlisa and Nakiaya Wilson of Bogalusa; three brother, Jerome Wilson, Rashad Weary and Jashma Crumedy, all of Bogalusa; and a very special friend, Chelsea Jackson of Bogalusa.
He leaves to cherish his memory his grandparents, J.D. and Elizine Warren of Hackley and Shirley Walker of Bogalusa; his aunts, Priscilla Wilson, Kenisha Walker, Tonitha (Andra) Walker-Tate and Charlynn (Dominique) Duncan, all of Bogalusa; Tina (Derrick) Andrews and Janice (Oliver) Howard of Hackley, Brenda King of Folsom and Brenda Walker of Texas; his uncles, Wayne Dillon of McComb, Miss., Patrick (Tamantha) Wilson of Houston, John (Marquitta) Wilson of Bogalusa, Charles Wilson of Lincoln, Neb., Staff Sgt. Vincent (Audrey) Wilson of San Antonio, Frenchie (Priya) Alexander of Marietta, Ga., Ahmad Walker of Marietta, Ga., and Carlos Walker, Corey Walker and Charles (Chanel) Walker, all of Bogalusa; and two special cousins, Kalisha (Kevin) Wilson-Barber and La’Quarri Wilson, both of Bogalusa.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Talasia Michelle Wilson; his siter, Marquitta Wilson; his father, Jerome Walker; and his stepfather, Wayne Benjamin.
Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at the Bogalusa High School auditorium, with the Rev. Terrance August officiating.
