Oscar “Skipper Jack” Robinson Sr. 82, a resident of Franklinton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at his residence in Franklinton.

He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Oscar Robinson Jr. and Bruce Robinson, both of Franklinton, and Johnnie Robinson of Bogalusa; one daughter, Ora Lee Robinson of Franklinton; one sister, Pauline Robinson (Wade) Magee of Hackley; two brothers, Excell Robinson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and R.B. Robinson of Foxworth, Miss.; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Luciney Magee Robinson; parents, Arsell and Jessie Robinson; two sisters, Arine Brock and Dalene Robinson; and three brothers, Johnny Robinson, Nemiah Robinson and Merlie Robinson.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, with the Rev. Terrance August officiating.
