Louis Truman Magee, age 64 and a resident of Bakersfield, Calif., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, in California. He is a former resident of Franklinton.

He leaves to cherish his memories seven children, Frances Dykes, Louis T. Magee Jr. of Long Beach, Calif., LaTonya Crutcher, Monique Crutcher, Frederick Magee and Miesha Magee all of Bakersfield, and Gary Bell of Franklinton; nine sisters, Katherine (Lloyd) Pickett of Carson, Calif., Consue Henderson of San Diego, Sarah (Cladis) Silvie, Paulette Magee, Pamela (DeVance) Williams and Marie (Marcus) Ford, all of Long Beach, and Anita Brumfield, Sandra Ratliff and Jackie (Donald) Martin, all of Franklinton; four brothers, Brian (DeAnna) Magee of Folsom and Hamilton (JoAnn) Magee, Daria Magee and Frank (Dueoan) Magee of Franklinton; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at noon at Magee’s Temple COGIC in Franklinton, with Supt. Cecealine Tate officiating.
