Rose Lee Odom, 84, of Poplarville, Miss., died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, in Pearl River County Nursing Home of Poplarville.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at White Funeral Home, 315 U.S. Highway 11 South, Poplarville. Burial followed in Kennedy Cemetery.

Mrs. Odom was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Poplarville and was a homemaker.

Survivors include five children, Robert Earl (Laura) Odom Jr., Thomas Earl (Judy) Odom, David (Jackie) Odom, Rosemary (W.A.) McCardle and Beverly (Mike) Amacker; three siblings, Ruby Miller, Jerry Wheat and O’Neal Wheat; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granDchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Mable Passman Wheat; her husband, Robert Earl Odom Sr.; one son, Kenneth Luther Wheat; one grandson, Robert Timothy Byrd; and six siblings, Betty Duncan, the Rev. Walton Tom Wheat, Luther Wheat Jr., Joey Wheat, Billy Ray Wheat and Pearlie Warner.

Visitation was two hours prior to the service.

White Funeral Home of Poplarville was in charge of arrangements.
