Gloriasteen Terrell

Gloriasteen Keil Terrell, born Aug. 1, 1932, in Bogalusa, died on Sept. 23, 2014. She was one of 10 children born to Percy and Bessie Keil.

Gloria was a lifetime resident of Bogalusa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sons, Christopher Terrell and David Todd Terrell; three sisters, Lee Ethel Keil Menendez, Mary Louise Keil Spiers and Ruth Anna “Ada” Keil Howard Jenkins; and two brothers, Alfred “Red” Keil and Andrew “Pete” Keil.

She is survived by her loving children, Andree Renee (Betty) Powell, Myra Elaine Keal, Valarie Ann Terrell (Bernard) Galen, Michael Anthony Terrell and Kimberly Susan Terrell (Walter) Hooks; her grandchildren, Kimberly Rachelle Gross and Courtney Powell; and one great-grandson, Leron Maurice Gross. She is also survived by two brothers, Richard Keil and Larry Keil; and two sisters, Barbara Keil (Henry) Chatman and Chinese Keil. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Gloria was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness for over 40 years. She held close to her heart the promises that Jehovah God made in the Bible and looked forward to the fulfillment of those promises.
