Angie resident Mr. Michael Anthony Young, 49, died Sept. 21, 2014, in Baton Rouge.

Michael was born April 21, 1965 to Pear Spikes Robinson and Willie Lester Young Sr.

Michael accepted Christ in his life and showed love as Christ would have wanted him to do. Michael didn’t have much, but the love he had for his family and friends was unbeatable. “Hope we can show love the way Michael did.”

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Trenee’ (Byshawn) King and Tayla Young; two granddaughters, Tahlya and Tamai King; three sisters, Denise (Beven) Robinson, Demetris (LoRenza) Rayford and Shirley Bickham; six brothers, Jeffery (Kawanna) Young, Willie C. (Janice) Young, Willie L. (Sharryel) Young, Donnell (Allison) Young, Roscoe Young and Kevin Young; grandmother, Mattie Mingo; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Pearl Spikes Robinson; father, Willie Lester Young Sr.; and stepfather, Delois Robinson.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 26, from 2 to 6 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. at Cook Richmond Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at Greater Salter A.M.E. Chapel, 920 Dan St. in Bogalusa, with the Rev. Earl Robinson officiating. Interment will be at Ford Chapel Cemetery, 30365 Houston St. in Sandy Hook, Miss.
